Police have charged a 35-year-old man with attempted murder, following two separate stabbing incidents in south-east Queensland over the weekend.

Emergency services were called to a home on Bank Street in Park Ridge about 10pm on Friday following reports of an altercation between two men.

A 27-year-old Regents Park man was located in a life-threatening condition after suffering an alleged stab wound to the chest.

He was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment.

Police arrested a 35-year-old Park Ridge man at the home of the alleged fight and said they found the knife that had allegedly been used.

Police believe the pair are known to each other.

Security footage showed the injured man stumbling along a nearby street, screaming out for help, before approaching a house with its lights on.

A resident, who did not want to be identified, told Nine News that the stabbed man was “in a bad state” and “there was blood everywhere”.

He was found a short time later by paramedics.
