A man has died following a retaining wall collapse on a worksite in South Brisbane.
Emergency crews responded to reports of the collapse and two men being trapped on Tuesday morning and worked to free them.
One man who required a “prolonged extrication” was transported to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a stable condition.

A QAS spokesperson told this masthead that the second man was assessed on the scene in a life-threatening condition.
Police confirmed to media the 45-year-old died at the scene.
The incident, which occurred on a site next to the Soda Factory, forced the closure of Boundary Street between Melbourne and Edmondstone Street.
Motorists were advised to avoid the area, and investigations are ongoing.
