Two NYPD officers were hurt when a hit-and-run Mercedes driver backed into them during a traffic stop in Brooklyn early Tuesday, cops said.

The motorist had whizzed through a steady red light in his gray Mercedes C300 around 4:40 a.m. at West 8th Street and Quentin Road in Gravesend, prompting the eagle-eyed cops to pull him over, cops and police sources said.

Both officers got out of their car and approached the flashy sedan — but instead of stopping, the motorist reversed and slammed into the cops before driving off, police said.

The officers were both taken to a local hospital, one with minor injuries to his leg and the other to his foot, authorities said.

The alleged fleeing motorist was busted hours later, police said.

Anas Rao, 20, of Flatlands, was charged with two counts of assault, two counts of reckless endangerment, possession of a forged instrument, vehicular assault and two counts of obstruction of governmental administration, the NYPD said.

This was his first arrest, according to police.
