Three people were killed and one person was seriously injured early Wednesday when a Tesla Cybertruck crashed and caught fire in Piedmont, California.
Piedmont Police Chief Jeremy Bowers confirmed the accident occurred around 3:10 a.m. local time as the occupants were returning from an unspecified event. A person traveling separately managed to rescue the lone survivor before flames engulfed the vehicle.
While Bowers said speed was likely a factor in the single-vehicle collision, authorities are continuing to investigate the incident.
This is a developing story and will be updated when more information becomes available.
