(February 21st, 2025, Seoul, South Korea) – RING GAMES, the game development studio behind the Anime Subculture RPG, ABYSSDIA, has announced its ambitious plan to make 2025 the year of the full-fledged growth and global expansion.

Founded in 2019 by key developers of KING’S RAID, which ranked in the top 10 for revenue on Japan’s Google Play and App Store in November 2018, RING GAMES is set to release its new Anime Subculture Action RPG ABYSSDIA along with a casual hybrid game based on a globally recognized game IP. The company aims to achieve profitability and lay the foundation for long-term growth this year.

ABYSSDIA is an action RPG set in a world where ancient relics and magical engineering coexist. Players take on the role of a ‘Tuner’ tasked with saving the world. Published by NHN, the game is slated for a global launch, starting with Japan in the latter half of the year.

PROJECT M (tentative title) is a mobile hybrid casual game based on a popular Japanese game IP. Having recently finalized its publishing contract negotiations, the game is now in full-swing development.

Jason AHN, RING GAMES CEO, expressed excitement about the upcoming releases, stating, “Both of our mobile games will be launched this year. The dedication and unwavering passion of our development team will translate into commercial success.” He further emphasized, “We will continue to pursue a two-track strategy, focusing on Anime character-driven ARPGs and trendy IP-based games, to deliver unique and differentiated game experience.”

The company also unveiled its mid-to-long-term growth strategy, which involves accelerating its expansion into China, Taiwan/Hong Kong/Macau, and Southeast Asia, leveraging its success in Japan. Negotiations with multiple publishers are already underway, and the recent participation of the company’s executives in the Taipei Game Show (TGS) aligns with this strategy. The results of these publisher negotiations are expected to materialize in the latter half of the year.

In pursuit of sustainable growth, RING GAMES is also expanding its development team. Currently, the studio has a 40-member team, with plans to increase this number to 55 by the end of 2025. Additionally, the company is preparing to launch a Series A investment round in the first half of the year. CEO Jason Ahn stated, “With meticulous preparation, backed by expert consulting and a dedicated task force team, we are committed to achieving our goals.”

With its sights set on making 2025 the foundation for global expansion, RING GAMES’ strategy to establish a sustainable business model and drive long-term growth is drawing keen attention from the gaming industry.
