An anti-ICE rioter accused of using a slingshot to fire metal objects at police officers during raucous protests in downtown Los Angeles over the weekend is being held on $150,000 bail, according to court documents.

Jose Guillen, 27, of Los Angeles, was charged two felony counts of assault with a deadly weapon on a peace officer for his alleged actions Friday and one felony count of vandalism causing damage in excess of $400, court filings show.

In a statement posted to social media on Friday, the Los Angeles Police Department said Guillen used a slingshot to fire “hard metal objects at officers who were standing on the line” at an anti-ICE demonstration in downtown LA on Friday night.

Court filings say that in addition to assaulting two officers, Guillen also smashed an LAPD patrol car windshield during the riots, causing more than $400 in damage.

He was being held Wednesday at LA’s Inmate Reception Center on $150,000 bail. His lawyer could not be reached for comment.

Each of the assault charges is punishable by up to five years in state prison, court papers said. The vandalism charge carries a punishment of up to three years in prison.

Guillen is next due in court on Feb. 18, according to a spokesman for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Dozens of protesters were arrested in anti-ICE protests that flared across Los Angeles over the weekend.

Fifty people were arrested for failing to disperse from violent gatherings downtown, including three juveniles.

Officers arrested one person on felony charges of evading police. Police said another person was charged with vandalism to a van.

Police on Saturday night also arrested a juvenile protester on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon on a peace officer.

The minor threw a rock at a police patrol vehicle during the riot, a spokesman for the LAPD said.
