An anti-Israel activist was among the troves of New Yorkers enraged about the minefields of unscooped dog poop littering weeks-old sidewalk snow — quipping that the nasty excrement apocalypse should push the Big Apple towards Islam.

“Finally, NYC is coming to Islam. Dogs definitely have a place in society, just not as indoor pets. Like we’ve said all along, they are unclean,” Nerdeen Kiswani, who runs the radical group Within Our Lifetime, joked on X as she joined the outrage over the poop-filled streets.

Social media has been inundated with furious complaints about lazy dog owners ever since unsightly piles of doo started popping up on snow covered sidewalks in the wake of last month’s winter storm.

Angry residents — and even progressives on the City Council — have being putting the owners on blast, arguing the dung is only more noticeable given some sidewalks are still yet to be cleared.

“Pick up your f–king dog s–t,” lefty Gen-Z Brooklyn Councilman Chi Ossé raged on X.

City Councilwoman Shahana Hanif (D-Brooklyn) chimed in, too, sharing The Post’s story on the poop minefields as she begged locals to scoop up after their pooches.

Unlike manure, dog waste is a public health hazard. It spreads bacteria, pollutes our streets and waterways, and creates unsafe conditions — especially for seniors and people with disabilities. Not picking it up isn’t just gross. It puts all of us at risk,” she said in an X post.

The outrage came after The Post revealed an uptick of “dog waste” complaints had been lodged with the city’s 311 service in the storm’s aftermath.

Nearly 250 poop complaints were made in the two weeks after the huge storm wreaked havoc on Jan. 25 — an 8% increase from the 227 related reports made during the same time period last year.

Despite the fury, the city’s sanitation department said it hadn’t issued a single violation since the winter storm.

“Absolutely it is the dog owner’s responsibility to pick up dog waste, regardless of the weather or conditions on the ground,” a DSNY rep said.

“It is irresponsible and just gross to leave this behind anywhere, whether it’s a sidewalk, a patch of grass or a snow pile.”
