The Buffalo Bills are in rebuild mode, following their loss to the Denver Broncos in the NFL playoffs on Saturday, Jan. 17, and that means welcoming a new head coach.
The Bills officially announced their new coach, promoting offensive coordinator Joe Brady to the head coach role, on Tuesday, Jan. 28, promoted Joe Brady to the role of head coach of the franchise. He signed a five-year contract with the Buffalo Bills and will be the youngest coach in the NFL during the 2026-27 season, barring another franchise hiring a new, younger coach before then.
The Bills didn’t waste time introducing Brady to the masses, and on Thursday, Jan. 29, the franchise hosted a press conference with Brady. Buffalo Bills players, of course, were there in full force.
Something of note is that quarterback Josh Allen still appeared banged up attending the press conference. According to Bills beat reporter Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic, “Bills QB Josh Allen is here at Joe Brady’s press conference, on crutches and in a walking boot.”
The post drew comments from followers, many of them wishing Allen well. “Best wishes to Josh for a speedy recovery. He’s an exciting player to watch in the NFL,” one said. “Guessing he got the surgery already?” another questioned.
So, Allen showed up at the press conference to support Brady, but he did so on crutches and in a walking boot.
