Harrowing video footage captured a black bear on the prowl after chasing an 11-year-old boy into a dollar store in Pennsylvania, according to reports.

Cole Frazee went to see what was taking his father so long while shopping at a Family Dollar in Markleysburg when he suddenly noticed a black bear looking at him, CBS Pittsburgh reported.

Without getting a chance to turn around, the hulking bear began to chase after him into the dollar store — sending him scrambling for cover.

“When it runs after me, I turn around, I run in the store, I’m screaming and stuff. The thing was like a foot and a half away from me,” Frazee told the outlet.

“I was like, ‘I’m probably going to get eaten by a bear,” the 11-year-old recalled. “I took a left and the bear went straight.”

Frazee raced up and down the aisles to escape the bear and ran to the cashier, who was the only other person in the store. The two jumped on the counter and darted out the doors the second the beast turned around.

“She grabbed her coat, the keys and the phone and we ran out of there. When we ran out of there, we all got in the car,” Frazee said.

The moment the mammoth animal hurdled over the front counter, seconds after the pair left, was caught in surveillance video obtained by the outlet.

The black bear was seen in the footage towering over the counter stocked with goods and leaping back to the ground.

The bear wandered around the store for 10 minutes, eventually finding its way out, the outlet reported.

“I was relieved,” Frazee said. “It was definitely a crazy experience.”

A large male black bear can weigh a whopping 600 pounds, while females seldom exceed 200 pounds, according to the National Wildlife Federation.

Bears are actively searching for food this time of year, which can lead to possibly dangerous and unexpected encounters, the Pennsylvania Game Commission told the outlet.
