A pair of boaters were shocked to find a body floating in near the iconic Queen Mary ocean liner in Long Beach harbor late Monday night.
The two men initially didn’t flinch before making the disturbing discovery.
“We were passing the buoys, and we thought it was trash… We noticed… what seemed to be a back, so we turned around to confirm,” one of the boaters told ABC 7.
“It was actually pretty surreal. To think that you could find a dead body like that… like right outside of the marina in Long Beach — that’s insane,” the second boater added.
The man’s body had no “obvious signs of trauma” and foul play is not expected, the Long Beach Police Department told The Post.
Cops first received reports of the body in the Port of Long Beach area near Queensway Bay around 10:34 p.m.
The medical examiner is now handling the investigation to determine the man’s identity and cause of death.
The Queen Mary is a British-ship-turned-tourist attraction that now operates as a hotel and restaurant.
