Brooklyn Peltz Beckham and Nicola Peltz Beckham’s wedding entertainer, DJ Fat Tony, doesn’t think the groom’s now-viral reception dance with mom Victoria Beckham was overtly crude.

“I was the DJ at the wedding. It wasn’t a one-day wedding, it was a three-day wedding,” Tony, 60, said during the Friday, January 23, broadcast of the UK’s This Morning. “I did the welcome party, I did the wedding, and then I did a brunch on Sunday.”

Brooklyn, 26, who married Nicola, 30, in 2022, claimed earlier this month that Victoria, 51, “hijacked” their first dance.

“In front of our 500 wedding guests, Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where in the schedule was planned to be my romantic dance with my wife but instead my mum was waiting to dance with me instead,” Brooklyn claimed in a social media statement shared Monday, January 19. “She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone. l’ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life.”

Tony, however, has debunked claims that Victoria’s dance moves were too inappropriate for a mother-son wedding dance.

“There was no slut-dropping, there was no black PVC catsuit, there was no Spice Girl action,” Tony said on Friday. “What it was [and] why I said it was inappropriate, as well, was because … it was the timing.”

He continued, “Marc Anthony was performing onstage, he then called Brooklyn onto the stage [who] went onto the stage where everyone’s expecting it to be Nicola to go up and do the first dance, then Marc Anthony asks ‘the most beautifulest woman in the room’ to come to the stage and then he says, ‘Victoria.’”

According to Tony, Brooklyn appeared “devastated” while Nicola ran out of the venue, “crying her eyes out.”

“Brooklyn’s stuck there onstage, and then they do this dance,” Tony alleged. “Marc Anthony’s, like, ‘Put your hands on your mother’s hips,’ and it was a Latin thing. The whole situation was really awkward for everyone in the room.”

Tony previously performed at “an awful lot of Beckham parties” through the years before Brooklyn’s nuptials, often seeing the family groove together on the dance floor. (Victoria and husband David Beckham also share kids Romeo, 23, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 14.)

“They’re a very dance-y, close-knit family. They love to dance,” Tony said. “This is all about how Brooklyn feels. If he thought it was inappropriate and awkward, then it was inappropriate.”

While Victoria has not publicly addressed Brooklyn’s accusations, her eldest son and Nicola have distanced themselves from the drama even further.

“Brooklyn’s living his life,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly earlier this month. “He’s happy, rich and has everything going for him. He has freedom. He and Nicola are not sitting around waiting for a phone call.”

Brooklyn and Nicola renewed their wedding vows in 2025 without any of the Beckhams in attendance.

“We wanted to renew our vows so we could create new memories of our wedding day that bring us joy and happiness, not anxiety and embarrassment,” Brooklyn wrote in his bombshell statement. “I grew up with overwhelming anxiety. For the first time in my life, since stepping away from my family, that anxiety has disappeared. I wake up every morning grateful for the life I chose, and have found peace and relief. My wife and I do not want a life shaped by image, press or manipulation. All we want peace, privacy and happiness for us and our future family.”
