The Philadelphia Phillies have a good problem to have when it comes to their lineup.

Kyle Schwarber has taken a lot of the spotlight as he is at 50 home runs on the season. Bryce Harper was previously the face of the franchise, and he opened up about his team-first mentality.

“I think it’s everybody’s team in here,” Harper told Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic. “I’ve never been that type of guy where I wanted it to be my team or someone else’s team. Our main goal is winning. That’s everybody’s mindset.”

It’s not very often you see a player as humble as Harper is when it comes to not necessarily being the star of the team.

That’s not to say he’s having a bad season by any means. Entering Friday, Harper held a .265 average with 25 home runs and 70 RBIs. Schwarber’s season is just that much better.

Of course, Harper missed some time due to his wrist injury, and he was transparent that it set him back some this season with his numbers.

“I’m happy about it,” Harper told Rosenthal. “Obviously, missing (time) with my wrist and coming back from that, not knowing what I was going to feel like, it’s not a year I want to have every year. But as of right now, I’ll take it.”

Again, it’s a good problem to have for manager Rob Thomson, general manager Dave Dombrowski and the Phillies organization. It’s a big part of the reason why they are closing in on the National League East title and chasing the Milwaukee Brewers for the top spot in the National League.

If Harper and Schwarber continue to swing hot bats in the playoffs the way they have been in the regular season, the Phillies are going to be one of the teams to beat in October.
