The Dallas Cowboys and CeeDee Lamb appear to be at odd ends even more than before. Owner Jerry Jones recently stated he was not in a “rush” to get a contract done with the star receiver.

CeeDee Lamb Responds to Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones’ Contract Dismissal

Lamb caught wind of the response and immediately responded on social media with a simple, lol.” The drama between Lamb and the Cowboys ownership has now reached an even trickier level.

Lamb has officially unfollowed the Cowboys on all social media and removed “America’s Team” from his X bio. To make matters worse, he also appears to be hinting at the team he wants to join next.

Both Lamb and former Oklahoma teammate Marquise “Hollywood” Brown have changed their banners on X to pictures of each other.

This could mean that Lamb is angling to play for the Kansas City Chiefs, where Brown currently plays. It’s either that or Lamb is telling everyone where he will end up.

Though nothing has yet to be revealed in terms of his contract, or lack thereof, Lamb joining the Chiefs would instantly make them Super Bowl favorites. The Chiefs are already favored to make a deep playoff run, but giving quarterback Patrick Mahomes a receiver like Lamb to throw to would be unfair.

The Chiefs already have tight end Travis Kelce, who is in a league of his own. The offense also contains wide receiver Rashee Rice and newly drafted Xavier Worthy.

With Lamb added to this unit, Mahomes would have a literal and metaphorical file day.

Lamb has been holding out of training camp to strongarm himself into a new contract, but Jones has been stubborn about doing so. A report did indicate that the Cowboys sent Lamb a new contract, but no details about that contract amount were released.

Whatever the Cowboys sent might not have been anywhere near what Lamb was seeking, as he has continued his hold out.

The fallout between Lamb and the Cowboys has now reached a boiling point. Though Lamb adding a picture of Brown just adds a ton of speculation, the drama that has occurred over the past few weeks might add fuel to the proverbial fire of Lamb ending up with a new team.

Jones has played coy about giving Lamb and quarterback Dak Prescott new long-term deals, and that coy attitude might be coming back to haunt him already. The Cowboys’ chances at a deep playoff run would be severely diminished if Lamb does not play in 2024.
