A man convicted of attempting to assassinate President Donald Trump issued an unusual series of invitations in a newly unsealed court filing.

In a handwritten motion, Ryan Wesley Routh asked that he be allowed to “spill all that is on [his] mind,” and told Trump: “If the President wished to pummel the defendant just for good measure, put on the handcuffs and shackles and give it your worst.”

The subpoena, drafted by Routh, adds: “No cameras, no complaints, no charges. Just good fun. Don’t be a p****. (Can I say p**** or coward-sorry).”

Routh also wrote that he would comply with any “list of allowable questions,” signaling a willingness to be confronted in court. The filing offers no indication that Trump responded.

This is a developing story. More to follow.
