Dylan Efron is certain that his friend Justin Bieber will be pleased with his Dancing With the Stars tribute performance.

“I think he’ll be stoked,” Efron, 33, exclusively told Us Weekly after the Tuesday, September 30, live show. “I think he loves it.”

Efron and pro partner Daniella Karagach performed a foxtrot to Bieber’s “Yukon” during season 34’s inaugural TikTok Night. The pair received an impressive 23 out of 30 from the judges.

“[It’s] incredible, like, every week we’re improving,” Efron said of topping the leaderboard and becoming a leading man. “Our biggest goal this week was to prove that.”

Karagach, 32, chimed in, adding, “Every step was [a] leading man!”

In Efron’s pre-performance DWTS package, he said that hoped his foxtrot would impress both the judges and Bieber, 31.

“I love Justin. What makes me respect Justin so much is he makes people feel comfortable being vulnerable,” Efron said in a confessional. “And my experience on this show is like a vulnerable moment for me. He’s not perfect, but he’s trying to be better every day.”

Efron also credited his performance ability to his younger sister, Olivia, who was in the DWTS ballroom on Tuesday night.

“That’s the best,” he gushed to Us. “She gives me, like, more confidence every time I see her out here.”

Efron further joked that his sister even taught him a few dance moves “right before the show.”

“[She was] my first dance lesson,” he quipped.

Dylan and his older brother, actor Zac Efron, have two younger half-siblings.

“I try to see them as much as I can,” Dylan previously told Us in 2023 of his relationships with Olivia and brother Henry. “I just think back and my brother was such a good brother to me and I want to be that for them. So it’s really just — I like thinking what they think of me and I want to be that presence for them.”

He continued, “I see myself so much in Henry and then [in] Olivia, I see Zac. She’s going to be an actress probably [because] she’s got such a big personality. Henry’s a little sports player.”

After news broke last month that Dylan joined the DWTS season 34 cast, he told Us that all of his relatives were rooting for his journey.

“My dad is super excited,” Dylan told Us ahead of the September premiere. “He has little kids, [who are] 4 and 5. They’re all super excited. My mom was honestly just shocked. She’s just like, ‘Where’d this come from?’ My brother is supportive.”

According to Dylan, 37-year-old Zac told him what the show was like. (Zac once attended a live taping several years ago.)

“He’s like, ‘The best part is going to be those live shows.’ He was saying, like, ‘It’s such a good feeling,’” Dylan added at the time.

Dancing With the Stars airs on ABC and Disney+ Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET.
