“Mighty Ducks” star Shaun Weiss is begging fans to stop chasing down troubled Nickelodeon child star Tylor Chase on the streets for Instagram selfies, saying it’s hurting their ability to get him the help he needs.

Chase, 36, best known for his role on “Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide,” is back out on the streets in Riverside, Calif. after he entered a rehab facility on a 72-hour involuntary psychiatric hold last week, Weiss said in an update on the heartbreaking situation on Monday.

Weiss and others, including local influencer Jake Harris have been doing all they can to get Chase into a mental health and rehabilitation center, but the actor said “Tylor has to want to go to treatment” first.

Weiss then plead with fans to stop treating him like a tourist attraction.

“I’ll tell you what’s not helpful — is people that want to go and see him to get a selfie for their Instagram and giving him money,” Weiss told his Instagram followers in an update on Monday. “That’s working against us.”

“So please, if you could refrain from doing that … it’s not helping. He needs a little space right now and honestly we don’t know what to do,” he added.

The former Nickelodeon star was reportedly released from the psychiatric hold before being able to get the help he needed.

Harris found Chase back on the streets of Riverside after his 72-hour hold last week, according to Weiss, and once again called a mental health crisis team to evaluate him.

The crisis team was said to have once again determined that Chase was a danger to himself, and Weiss told TMZ that the homeless ex-Nickelodeon star was “smoking meth during the evaluation with no shoes or jacket in the freezing cold.”

Despite determining that Chase was a danger to himself, the crisis team reportedly left him there.

Chase, who starred as Martin Qwerly in “Ned’s Declassified” from 2004 to 2007, was first discovered living on the streets of Riverside battling drug addiction via a TikTok clip shared in September.

The heart-wrenching clip did not go viral until earlier this month, at which point fellow “Ned’s Declassified” alum Daniel Curtis Lee found Chase and checked him into a hotel room — which he subsequently destroyed.
