On Wednesday night, numerous fans will be tuning in to Fox to see whether the United States stays alive in the World Baseball Classic, depending on the result of Italy vs. Mexico.

Well, if they do, all they’ll see is a new episode of the “The Masked Singer,” which Fox favored over the WBC later tonight.

While Team USA, Mexico, and Italy fans can still catch that game on Fox Sports 1, that isn’t the main issue that has fans furious online about the broadcaster’s decision-making.

In what is the most highly anticipated game of the entire group stage, the Dominican Republic will face Venezuela to see who will top their group. The winner will get to play against a scrappy South Korean squad, while the loser will have the task of going one-on-one with Shohei Ohtani and the defending champions of Samurai Japan.

It’s a star-studded affair between the two Latin nations, with Ronald Acuna Jr., Juan Soto, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., and more showing off for the fans down in Miami.

A heavyweight fight that many sports fans believe should be on Fox proper isn’t even on FS1, as it was replaced by the Mexico vs. Italy game after it became important to determine whether the United States will advance into the knockout rounds.

Instead, the big matchup will stream on Tubi, Fox’s free ad-supported streaming platform.

To say baseball fans were frustrated by Fox’s choice would be a massive understatement, as they let the anger fly on social media.

“DR [against] Venezuela on Tubi is the most disgraceful programming decision of all time,” a disgruntled fan posted on X. “That [expletive] should be on Fox. Wtf do they have on at 8 [tonight] that’s so important?”

“Aaron Judge will be performing on the Masked Singer next week if USA doesn’t advance,” another fan posted in jest following the Tubi announcement.

“The DR vs Venezuela being on Tubi is criminal,” chimed in another frustrated viewer.

The most exciting baseball game of the tournament might not be seen by most of the United States on Wednesday. Unless you have Tubi, of course.
