All-Star Miami Heat shooting guard Tyler Herro has incurred a bit of a health hiccup on his push towards making his 2025-26 season debut.
The 6-foot-5 Kentucky product, 25, underwent surgery to address a left ankle impingement during the offseason, and has been on the shelf all year so far. Without him, Miami has gone 7-6 and is currently the No. 10 seed in the Eastern Conference.

Per Ira Winderman of The South Florida Sun Sentinel, Herro being sidelined for at least the next week will render him ineligible to make an All-NBA team this season — which will thus make him unable to earn the maximum contract extension possible for his current deal.
