A man has died while two more people are fighting for their lives in hospital following a horrific crash on Reid Highway in Perth’s north on Wednesday afternoon.

The crash involved an Isuzu FedEx truck, a Toyota Landcruiser and a Kia Carnival sedan.

A WA Police spokesman confirmed the incident occurred around 12.55pm on Reid Highway near Alexander Drive in Dianella.

The 49-year-old man driving the Kia Carnival died at the scene, while the 52-year-old man driving the Toyota Landcruiser and his passenger, a 12-year-old girl, were rushed to Royal Perth Hospital and Perth Children’s Hospital for treatment for life-threatening injuries.

The 26-year-old passenger of the Kia Carnival was taken to Royal Perth Hospital, however WA a Police spokesperson said his injuries were not life-threatening.

The truck’s driver, a 47-year-old man, was uninjured.

Reid Highway westbound between Malaga Drive and Alexander Drive in Dianella were closed following the crash, causing heavy congestion on the busy road.
