Nashville continues its trip through Canada one day after defeating the Ottawa Senators 4-1. The game was much closer than the final score, however, as it was 1-0 with just six minutes left in the game. Ryan O’Reilly (2) would give Nashville some breathing room, but a power play goal by Ridly Greig (1) of the Senators erased the insurance just three minutes later. An empty net goal by Jonathan Marchessault (2) at 19:06 of the period and then another by Cole Smith (1) at 19:48 brought the score to its final state.
In the second half of a home back-to-back, the Maple Leafs look to erase the memory of a tough loss the night prior against the Detroit Red Wings. Trailing 2-0 in the 3rd period, Matthew Knies (1) and Calle Jarnkrok (3) scored goals within seven minutes of each other to get the Maple Leafs back into the game, but the effort would be for naught, as the Red Wings’ Mason Appleton (1) lit the lamp at 19:15 of the period, sealing the game.
This is a great NHL hockey matchup that you will not want to miss; make sure to tune in and catch all the action.
