New York is alive again—and not just thanks to all of the budding flowers and lush trees! That’s right, it’s filming season. Between Selena Gomez filming Only Murders in the Building and Sarah Jessica Parker on the set of And Just Like That… we have no shortage of on-set sightings rife with summer outfit inspiration.
One of the greatest parts of the behind-the-scenes photos that emerge from these semi-public sets is seeing how actors make themselves comfortable in their costumes. Today, Gomez gave us one for the ages: She was photographed en route to film a wedding scene (as someone who watched, maybe, three-and-a-half episodes of Only Murders this means nothing to me, but sorry if it’s a spoiler) in the most perfectly hodgepodge outfit I ever did see.
Gomez wore a fuchsia Rebecca Vallance midi dress covered in fringed tulle, and complete with voluminous sleeves and a lower back cutout. But it’s the mismatched styling that has me completely captivated. With her hair swept up into a bun, the actor added a pair of black sunglasses, and—best of all—slip-on Uggs, she’s mastered the nonchalant look.
