What Date and Time Does ‘Bridgerton’ Season 4 Come Out?

The first part of Bridgerton season 4 is currently streaming on Netflix, which comprises four episodes. The second part, also made up of four episodes, is set to debut on February 26, for a total of eight episodes.

What Is ‘Bridgerton’ Season 4’s Plot About?

The plot of Bridgerton season 4 is purported to be a Cinderella-inspired love story focused on Benedict Bridgerton and Sophie Baek and adapted from An Offer from a Gentleman, the third book in the Bridgerton book series. Benedict, the second-oldest Bridgerton child and under pressure from his mother, Violet (Ruth Gemmell), to get married, meets his dream girl, Sophie Baek, at a masked ball.

Sophie is a woman who is not usually on the esteemed guest list for the Bridgerton’s parties, a victim of tragic events who has had to use her wits and resources to climb her way out of her circumstances. According to Thompson, the season will be about “the struggle between a proper old-school fairy tale — the romance of it — and the actual reality of the world.”

Does ‘Bridgerton’ Season 4 Have a Trailer?

Yes, there is a trailer for season 4, which comprises both part 1 and part 2. The trailer showcases the moment that Sophie and Benedict meet, and Benedict’s resolution to track her down. You can watch it here:

Is Jonathan Bailey in ‘Bridgerton’ Season 4?

Jonathan Bailey stole hearts in the very first season of Bridgerton as Anthony Bridgerton, becoming more prominent when his romance with his eventual wife Kate (Simone Ashley) became central to the second season. However, fans have pointed out both characters’ noticeable absence from the first batch of season 4 episodes. Thankfully, this absence is only temporary.

During part 1, the housekeeper, Mrs. Wilson (Geraldine Alexander), explains that Kate and Anthony are currently in India, where they just welcomed their first child. The show’s producers and the actors themselves have subsequently confirmed that Bailey and Ashley will indeed make appearances in the latter half of season 4 (alongside their new son), although their roles may only be limited to guest appearances.

Who Will Be the Main Characters of ‘Bridgerton’ Seasons 5 and 6?

If you’re already looking ahead to the next season of Bridgerton, we do have some intel on who will be the focus of season 5. Through a cheeky outfit choice, showrunner Jess Brownell revealed earlier this month that the characters who will receive the star treatment in seasons 5 and 6 will be Eloise (Claudia Jessie) and Francesca (Hannah Dodd) Bridgerton.

On the red carpet premiere of Bridgerton season 5, Brownell sported two pocket squares with the initials “E” and “F” embroidered on them, telling Deadline that “I would say both characters with the initials on my pocket squares will get seasons in 5 and 6. In what order? I can’t say.”
