Chime is experiencing a widespread outage, according to multiple tracking services and Chime’s own status page. Thousands of users across the United States reported problems Wednesday with logging in, accessing balances, sending money and using the mobile app, according to Downdetector data and third‑party outage monitors.
Most complaints centered on the Chime app and website not loading or returning error messages, with some users saying they were unable to access their funds during the disruption.
Chime acknowledged the issue on its official status page, saying it was investigating a platform‑wide service disruption. The company said card purchases and ATM transactions were still functioning normally and that customer funds and personal information remained secure. As of the latest update Wednesday, Chime said engineers were continuing to work to resolve the issue, while outage reports from users remained elevated throughout the morning and afternoon.
