Reality star Joseph Duggar was ordered held on a $600,000 bond in Florida on Tuesday after he was arrested earlier this month on child molestation charges.
Judge Brantley Clark barred Duggar from having unsupervised contact with any minor younger than 18.
Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar also addressed the arrest in a statement to USA Today on Tuesday. A spokesperson told the news outlet they are “heartbroken over this entire situation.”
“Right now, they are focused on loving their family and helping Kendra and her children during this difficult time. They are praying for the victim. They ask for privacy and appreciate the kind words and prayers offered by so many,” the statement reads.
Joseph Duggar, known for appearing on the reality television series 19 Kids and Counting, was arrested on child molestation charges involving a child under age 12. The arrest came after police officers interviewed a 14-year-old girl who told them Duggar molested her several times during a trip to Panama City Beach, Florida, when she was 9.
