Mosaic Property Group’s proposal for the new tower on the corner of Montague Road and Bouquet Street along the Brisbane River comprises 204 apartments and car parking built on a six-storey podium on the lower levels of the building, which will be concealed by lush planting.
A publicly accessible “pocket park” beneath existing fig trees along the river is included in the design, as well as a rooftop recreation deck spanning two levels, which will feature a wellness zone complete with hot and cold plunge pools and treatment rooms.
The current development application forms part of a broader proposal, with a second tower planned for the adjoining site at a later date.
Details of the proposal come after developer Aria was given the green light from Brisbane City Council to build three huge new towers, also in South Brisbane, on a block bordered by Manning, Melbourne and Edmondstone streets.
The massive Aria development includes a 50-story tower, which is set to be taller than any existing building outside the CBD, and the seventh-biggest in the city. The two other towers will be 40 storeys and 24 storeys.
