The college football season is in the middle of some very important contests, with Texas and Georgia set to face off on Nov. 15. Georgia comes in as the No. 5-ranked team in America, while Texas comes in at No. 10.Â

Two potential CFP teams, this will likely decide the fate of what Texas does for the remainder of the year. Georgia might be able to get in with another loss, given it sits at 8-1, but it certainly wants to win this game.Â
Entering the year, Texas was viewed as one of the favorites in the country. Not only that, but it also had one of the best quarterbacks in the country, Arch Manning.Â
Manning hasn’t played poorly for all of the season, but there have been parts where he hasn’t looked as good as some expected him to. However, over the past few weeks, he’s figured some things out.Â
Outside of his first game of the year against Ohio State, when he threw for 170 yards, one touchdown, and one interception, this will likely be Manning’s toughest game of his college career.Â
When speaking to reporters, it sounds like Georgia head coach Kirby Smart also understands just how much better he’s gotten over the past few weeks. Smart admitted that getting better protection up front was important for Manning, but the maturity aspect is also something to factor in.Â
“Yeah, he’s playing with more confidence,” Smart said, per SI’s Jonathan Williams. “Number one, he’s getting better protection. He’s maturing. He’s had an opportunity to play and grow. You don’t really get that until you go out there and play.”

Georgia is typically known for what it does on the defensive side of the football, so Manning will certainly be game planned for perhaps more than he’s ever been.Â
It’ll be interesting to see how he looks, but this is a big game for himself and his team.
