LeBron James’ historic All-NBA streak is set to end.

With James ruled out for Tuesday’s game against the San Antonio Spurs, he will miss his 18th contest of the season, making him ineligible for an All-NBA selection.

ESPN’s Dave McMenamin shared via X.

The 41-year-old superstar’s streak will come to an end this season. James has more All-NBA seasons than all but six players have total seasons played.

James is an all-time talent, and the numbers prove that to be the case. In his illustrious 23-season career, James has done it all and seen it all, winning four NBA titles, four Finals MVPs, four NBA MVPs, six-time All-Defensive teams, and a member of the NBA 75th Anniversary Team.

Is Age Catching Up to LeBron James?

The Akron native missed just under a month at the start of the season due to sciatica on his right side. James missed the first 14 games of the season. In that span, the Lakers tallied a 10-4 record and looked like one of the better teams in the league.

Since his return, the Lakers have gone 22-16 in that span.

For much of his career, James seemed almost immune to injury, but his Lakers tenure has told a different story. Injuries have taken a toll on the 22-time All-Star—a reality that comes as no surprise given his age. He’s logged more minutes than anyone else in the sport. After playing as long as he has, injuries—especially this one — aren’t exactly surprising.

Still, James has been outstanding this season, looking as if he hasn’t missed a step.

In the season, James is averaging 21.8 points per game, 5.7 rebounds, 6.9 assists and 1.1 steals while shooting 50.2 percent from the field and 30.6 percent from beyond the arc. He is currently in his eighth season in Los Angeles.
