A facelift performed by Dr. Carl Truesdale is going viral for giving a 70-year-old patient who “looked 90 years old” dramatic, youth-boosting results.
In a February TikTok video, Dr. Truesdale, who is based in Beverly Hills, posted a video of an un-named woman he performed a facelift on, featuring both before and after footage. The clip has racked up 1.3 million views on the social media platform.
The TikTok opens with the woman nearly in tears, her face marked up with blue ink for the surgery.
“I’m just so happy — I’m just so grateful,” the woman says.
“I’m going to make this amazing for you…I’m literally going to take you back into a time machine. You’re going to see your old self,” replied Dr. Truesdale.
The video then shows the woman still in her “before state” (but with makeup done), then cuts to a jaw-dropping “after” shot — her skin looking considerably brighter and healthier, with noticeably less wrinkles.
“This is what getting your spark back in your 70s looks like,” reads the caption on the video, followed by an emoji of prayer hands. “She is 70 years young and 1 month post-op.”
Comments on the patient’s grand reveal were overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing awe and admiration over her stunning results.
“Dr. Truesdale…You are a miracle worker from God! Your hands are BLESSED!” wrote one commenter.
“I love that you didn’t attempt to make her look 20, you gave her a very realistic facelift and took off 50-60 years of her life,” said another. “She’s glowing.”
“It looks so natural omg,” one more agreed.
Per his practice website and as reported by The Daily Mail, Dr. Truesdale’s specialty is “surgical and non-surgical solutions to rejuvenate, contour and bring natural beauty to your face, ears, eyes, nose, jawline and hairline.”
While he boasts countless fans of his work, the plastic surgeon has also previously come under social media scrutiny for giving his mother, Linda, a “mommy makeover” and documenting the process online.
He gave Linda five procedures over the course of a year with the purpose of lifting her face and neck, as well as restoring volume that naturally fades due to age.
“Most kids add wrinkles to their mothers’ faces. I was able to take some away, which is really, really special,” Truesdale told The Daily Mail.
“She was already confident, she already had a beautiful personality but I see that youthfulness and I see that vigor that’s returned in her,” he continued. She’s looking really great.”
