Jorge Martin (Prima Pramac Racing) increased his championship lead to 15 points with victory in the German GP Sprint.
The pole sitter lost the lead at lights out with both Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) and Miguel Oliveira (Trackhouse Racing) overtaking him into Turn 1.
However, Martin swiftly reclaimed P1 with a move out of the slipstream on Oliveira at Turn 1 and an aggressive barge past Bagnaia at Turn 8.
A group of four with Martin, Oliveira, Bagnaia and Enea Bastianini (Ducati Lenovo Team) escaped the field and was running closely together for the majority of proceedings.
Martin dropped the hammer with five laps to go and broke away from the group to clinch his fourth Sprint win of the season.
Behind, Oliveira held Bagnaia at bay to take runner-up spot while the defending champion had to settle for third.
Marc Marquez (Gresini Racing MotoGP) braved an injury sustained in a crash on Friday and made his way up into sixth from P13 on the grid, beating Maverick Vinales (Aprilia Racing) in a spectacular last lap overtake.
