Natasha Lyonne made her first red carpet appearance after allegedly being asked to leave a flight earlier this week.
The “Poker Face” alum, 47, stepped out for the Lorne documentary premiere in New York City on Thursday, April 9.
Lyonne rocked a black dress teamed with a white button-down shirt for the event, which was also attended by stars such as Amy Schumer, David Letterman and Anna Wintour. The documentary centers on Saturday Night Live creator, Lorne Michaels.
Earlier on Thursday, reports surfaced that Lyonne was asked to leave a flight headed to New York from Los Angeles on Tuesday, April 7. The alleged incident occurred just hours after the actress attended the premiere of Euphoria season 3.
Page Six reported that an eyewitness said Lyonne seemed “out of it” as she sat in first class on the red-eye. Per the outlet, Lyonne allegedly did not respond when several flight attendants asked her to close her laptop and fasten her seatbelt for takeoff. Lyonne appeared to be dozing off, at one point reportedly getting startled and saying, “Ah! You scared me!”
According to the eyewitness, the plane returned to the gate. A Delta staff member then boarded and reportedly asked Lyonne, “Ma’am, do you need medical attention? Ma’am, I need you to come off the plane. Do you need help with your belongings?”
Per the witness, Lyonne asked, “Where are we?” In response, a flight attendant reportedly told the actress, “We’re still in L.A. The plane hasn’t gone anywhere. The plane is not going anywhere until you come off it.”
Lyonne eventually deboarded the plane with her luggage and the flight was delayed for just over an hour.
“We have a passenger who, for whatever reason … wouldn’t follow some basic commands,” the captain reportedly announced. “We had a passenger who didn’t seem up to the task tonight, so that’s why they were asked to be booked on another flight — I do apologize for the inconvenience, but we will get you to New York as quickly and as safely as possible.”
Taking to X on Thursday, Lyonne appeared to subtly address the incident.
“My heart is with all the unpaid TSA agents at our airports. 💞,” she wrote. “Sure was looking forward to speaking honestly with @DrewBarrymore yesterday but guess wasn’t in the cards.”
Lyonne was reportedly scheduled to appear on The Drew Barrymore Show on Wednesday, April 8.
