Gia Giudice is ready for the next chapter with her uncle Joe Gorga after all the family drama.
“He was my best friend,” Gia, 24, told Us Weekly exclusively at BravoCon 2025 on Friday, November 14. “I think it’s a relationship that we’re both excited to rebuild and work on.”
After a years-long family feud, Teresa Giudice recently sat down with her brother, Joe, to mend their fractured relationship. Melissa Gorga told Us exclusively on Friday that her husband also sat down with Gia, his goddaughter.
“It’s refreshing. It’s like a weight lifted off of my chest. I’ve always wanted this since I was little,” she said. “I mean, singing songs or pulling family members back. I’ve always wanted this, and I’m just so happy that we’re coming to this place.”
Gia said she’s “really happy” that it all went down before this year’s BravoCon so they didn’t have to “worry running into each other” or looking behind their shoulders while attending the three-day event.
“I feel really good,” she added, noting that she hadn’t crossed paths with Melissa or Joe just yet, but they were on the “same flight” to Las Vegas.
Going forward, Gia said that the entire family is “in the place of hoping that this will never happen again.”
The Real Housewives of New Jersey has been put on an indefinite pause since season 14 ended last year. While there was drama between multiple members of the cast, the feud between Teresa, Melissa and Joe had been going on for years before hitting a fever pitch. The show’s hiatus came, in part, so that Teresa, Melissa and Joe could work on their relationships offscreen.
“That’s one of the reasons we didn’t pick cameras up,” Andy Cohen confirmed to Us at BravoCon on Friday of the family feud’s impact on the show. “They have to do this for themselves. It should have nothing to do with us.”
Melissa agreed.
“We could never do this on camera. This needed to be done off camera, because it was so long that there was a lot to talk about,” she told Us on Friday. “We would have bored you because there’s a lot.”
Melissa’s reaction to the reconciliation was similar to her niece’s, telling Us that she felt “relieved” after Teresa and Joe’s recent sitdown.
“I saw my husband’s relief, and for me, that’s the most important thing. It’s the siblings, and it’s the kids, and this trickles down,” she said. “To see the relief in Joe’s eyes and in his face, to me, I’m like, ‘I’m game. Let’s go. Let’s do this.’”
Melissa’s only goal is to make sure “everyone” in their family is “happy” moving forward. BravoCon has proved the Giudice-Gorga family is finally putting their differences aside. Especially after videos showing Joe hugging Teresa went viral on Friday. Later that same day, Teresa and Melissa nearly broke the internet by posing together.
“We can’t really hash it out too deep, because we’ll just keep circling back,” Melissa added during her interview with Us. “It’s better to just say, ‘Listen, we’ve all made some mistakes here, and it’s time to move forward.’”
