Matt LaFleur and the Green Bay Packers enter their Week 7 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals with a 3-1-1 record. At this point in time, they lead the NFC North division race and are the No. 2 seed in the conference as a whole.

After defeating the Detroit Lions and Washington Commanders in dominant fashion to begin the year, the Packers were immediately crowned a top-tier Super Bowl contender. Over the last three weeks, those talks have cooled off dramatically.

In Week 3, Green Bay lost on the road against a bad Cleveland Browns team. Following that loss, the Packers fell victim to a tie on the road against the Dallas Cowboys. Last week, the team came away with a much more difficult win over the Cincinnati Bengals than many had expected.

Raiders’ Latest Prediction Spells Bad News for Geno Smith

With that being said, there are some concerns growing about Green Bay. Is the team really as good as it looked in the first two games of the season? That remains to be seen.

Heading into this week’s matchup against the Cardinals, LaFleur knows it won’t be an easy game. He spoke out with a serious warning to his team.

“This is a team that’s lost four games in a row by nine points,” LaFleur said. “This is a good football team and we better be ready to play.”

Arizona nearly came through with a big win on the road against the 5-1 Indianapolis Colts last week. If the Packers take the Cardinals lightly, they could end up with a 3-2-1 record rather than improving to 4-1-1.

Every single game is important for a team looking to win a Super Bowl. These are the kinds of games that Green Bay needs to prove it can win. It’s a great test and LaFleur’s warning to his players is exactly what needed to be said.

Steelers Predicted to Target Breakout QB as Aaron Rodgers’ Heir

Looking at the Packers on paper, there is no question that they should be a Super Bowl contender. They are stacked with talent on both sides of the football. However, they can’t afford to lose focus and play down to inferior competition.

It will be interesting to see which version of Green Bay shows up in Week 7. Will the Packers get back to playing the dominant brand of football they began the season with? Or, will more concerns pop up due to another subpar performance?
