She’s the Grinch of Christmas mail.

A Long Island worker snatched over 20 gift cards from her Long Island post office that were meant to be shipped out over the holiday season — and used them to treat herself, authorities alleged Friday.

Jovanni Jamison-Lewis, 35, was caught on-camera systematically riffling through packages dropped off at the Oakdale post office to be mailed, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office.

She allegedly stole any envelope that contained gift cards — and was discovered using some of them at various stores later, prosecutors said.

Authorities were tipped off to the alleged scheme in September after the postal worker used a gift card that had been stolen, prompting the two-month probe probe.

Investigators with the Suffolk police and the postal service’s Office of the Inspector General alleged they found Jamison-Lewis brazenly opening envelopes, peering inside for greeting cards, and then pocketing those that contained something valuable and resealing others.

Undercover cops tested Jamison-Lewis in late November by handing her an envelope with a TJ Maxx gift card inside.

Surveillance cameras behind the counter caught her opening the envelope after the officer — who she believed was a customer — had left, and then grabbing the card from inside, the DA’s office said.

The next day, Jamison-Lewis was allegedly caught on camera again, using the gift card at a TJ Maxx in Port Jefferson Station in three separate transactions, authorities said.

Jamison-Lewis was arrested Nov. 24 as she was leaving work, prosecutors said.

At the time of her arrest, she was found with two pieces of stolen mail hidden in her pants and four more stolen gift cards in her pocketbook, according to authorities.

Police also found 19 more stolen gift cards in her car and another in her home.

Jamison-Lewis was charged with grand larceny, possession of stolen property, official misconduct and larceny, according to prosecutors.

The DA’s office couldn’t say how much the stolen cards were worth overall.

Jamison-Lewis was arraigned Friday and released, as the charges are not bail-eligible under state law.

Authorities said the investigation was ongoing and that additional charges were expected, however, Suffolk County DA Ray Tierney said he did not expect the feds to also open a separate case against the accused thieving Grinch.

Jamison-Lewis, a sales, service and distribution agent, began working at the Oakdale Post Office in November 2024 and resigned Dec. 1, officials said.

She faces up to four years in prison if convicted, prosecutors said.

“The vast majority of our public servants are hardworking and dedicated. There are, however, just a few bad actors,” Tierney said.

“It’s a shame because it’s those few bad actors that impugn the reputation and integrity of all our other hard-working and dedicated public servants.”
