The Los Angeles Rams are looking to make significant moves as the free agency period arrives this week, with the latest bringing them another two-time Super Bowl-winning cornerback.

On a busy Monday of news and rumors, NFL insider Adam Schefter revealed that cornerback Jaylen Watson was set to join the Rams’ secondary.

According to Schefter’s breaking news report, Watson is joining the Rams on a three-year deal. That move comes soon after the news that the Rams acquired cornerback Trent McDuffie, also from the Chiefs.

The NFL insider hadn’t provided specifics on the deal, with signings to occur after 4 p.m. on Wednesday, when the NFL calendar begins.

Schefter joked in his report on X (formerly Twitter) that the Los Angeles Rams are now “The KC Rams” due to these big moves.

Watson is a two-time Super Bowl champion with the Chiefs. Since joining Kansas City in 2022, his career stats include 178 combined tackles, four sacks, and three interceptions.

Los Angeles finished the past season with an exit from the playoffs after losing to their NFC rivals, the Seattle Seahawks, in the NFC Championship Game.

They’ve now picked up the needed help for the secondary as they look to build on last season’s success.
