The Baltimore Ravens suffered a devastating Week 18 loss on Sunday night, falling to the Pittsburgh Steelers with a 26-24 final score at Acrisure Stadium.
The game was win or go home for both teams with an AFC North title and playoff berth on the line. The Steelers now turn their attention to the postseason while the Ravens’ season comes crashing to a close in catastrophic fashion.
The Steelers led the Ravens 13-10 heading into what would end up being a wild fourth quarter. Lamar Jackson connected with wide receiver Zay Flowers on two deep touchdown passes, including one that gave Baltimore a 24-20 lead with just over two minutes remaining in the game.
Aaron Rodgers and the Steelers quickly responded with a go-ahead touchdown drive, connecting with Calvin Austin III in the end zone. Kicker Chris Boswell missed the extra point, giving the Ravens hope for a game-winning field goal attempt down two points.
The Ravens got into field goal range on a big pass play to tight end Isaiah Likely, setting up rookie kicker Tyler Loop for a 44-yard attempt.
The kick went wide right, cementing the final score at 26-24 in favor of the home-team Steelers.
The “Sunday Night Football” cameras captured running back Derrick Henry’s immediate reaction to the missed kick.
“He missed it?” Henry appeared to say with a stunned look on his face.
