The Real Housewives of Orange County star Gina Kirschenheiter is commemorating a milestone moment in her life.

“January marks five years no alcohol for me. It was one of the single most positive shifts I’ve ever made for myself by myself,” Kirschenheiter, 41, wrote via Instagram on Sunday, December 28. “I have zero regrets. I fully encourage anyone who feels like there is something getting in their way to eliminate it. Let 2026 be your year. ❤️#alcoholfreelife #alcoholfree #sobriety #newyears resolution.”

Alongside the message, Kirschenheiter shared a series of photos of herself as Olivia Rodrigo’s “Making the Bed” played in the background.

“An annual reminder … ” text over the video read. “If you don’t like the track you’re on … If you don’t recognize the person in the mirror, if you feel there are things in your way … Preventing you from becoming who you should be … Who you really are … Things that have more control of you than you have of them causing you to make bad decisions and limit your full potential, things that take from you and what you want out of life … if you want more … CHANGE IT.”

She continued, “Eliminate those things and get out of your own way. This year, become the person you’re supposed to be. Because you can … Go get it.”

Kirschenheiter received support in the comments section from several stars.

“GINA!!! This is AMAZING. Literally chills. I’m so PROUD of you, INSPIRED by you. Love you ❤️,” Jennifer Pedranti wrote, while Heather Dubrow noted, “Proud of you !!!!!” Emily Simpson added, “Welp I’m crying 😢❤️🙌 love you always!!! Xo.”

Last year, Kirschenheiter opened up about her decision to become sober.

“Honestly, the biggest tip and trick and lifestyle change for me is coming up on three years sober, three years not drinking,” Kirschenheiter exclusively told Us Weekly at Simpson’s RHOC reunion watch party in November 2024. “That is the most incredible change and shift and edit I’ve ever made to my life. I fully recommend it to everyone.”

Kirschenheiter explained that she “feels good” about her decision to no longer consume alcohol.

“Because I feel the way I feel, and how much positivity that has come into my life since I made the decision to stop drinking,” Kirschenheiter said. “I would love to share that with other people and just say, ‘Look, if you’re thinking about stopping drinking, do it. It will literally change your life for the better in every way.’”

“Turns out when you stop poisoning yourself, good things happen,” she continued. “Honestly, the biggest thing that it did was it made me have to deal with some of the stuff that I think I was avoiding. Then it was just the pure toxicity of what I was putting into my body that was a huge edit shift, and then processing out all that trauma that I was trying to avoid. The combination of the two things has just been life-changing for me.”
