Amber Glenn wanted to make the six-year-old inside her proud on Thursday night, who never thought she’d compete at the Winter Olympic Games.
After the lowest moment of her career two days ago in Milan, when a blunder took her from the top of the podium down to 13th place, the United States women’s champion fought back.
She landed a clean triple axel, didn’t fall once doing her routine, and put on a season’s best free skate to take her into medal contention with the final skaters of the night still to go.
