Taylor Swift is celebrating her 35th birthday on December 13, 2024. The celebration marks the end of a monumental year for the pop star, between wrapping up The Eras Tour — the highest-grossing tour ever — and the release of her 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department.
Swift has woven her birthday into various moments throughout her career, including mentions of her (disappointing) 21st birthday in several different songs, as well as using her birth year as the title for 2014’s 1989 (and 2023’s subsequent 1989 (Taylor’s Version) re-recording). Not to mention, the frequent use of Swift’s birth date, 13, in dozens of easter eggs over nearly two decades.
Since December 13 is so tied into her persona, it’s hard to imagine anyone else sharing the pop star’s special day. However, there are a few other big-name celebrities with birthdays on that same date.
Dick Van Dyke
Dick Van Dyke is celebrating his 99th birthday on December 13, 2024. The Mary Poppins actor has had a somewhat chaotic start to the celebration, as he had to flee the Malibu wildfires earlier that week. On a lighter note, Van Dyke danced around in a new Coldplay music video for “All My Love” that dropped a few days before his big day.
Jamie Foxx
Collateral actor Jamie Foxx turns 57 on December 13, 2024. Born in 1967, he built his career by appearing on the sketch comedy series In Living Color in the early ’90s. From there, Foxx led his show titled The Jamie Foxx Show. In 2004, he won an Oscar for Best Actor by portraying Ray Charles in Ray. Foxx suffered a stroke in April 2023 but is recovering and released a new Netflix comedy special, Jamie Foxx: What Had Happened Was… three days before his 57th birthday.
Steve Buscemi
Steve Buscemi celebrated his 67th birthday on December 13, 2024. Known for his roles in films like Reservoir Dogs, The Big Lebowski, and Grown Ups, the prominent actor was born in Brooklyn in 1957. He was married to filmmaker Jo Andres from 1987 to 2019, and the couple welcomed one child: son Lucian Buscemi in 1990.
Tom DeLonge
Tom DeLonge is the co-founder, co-vocalist, and guitarist of Blink-182 — and he also shares the same birthday as Swift, turning 49 in 2024. As it turns out, DeLonge even attended one of the “Maroon” singer’s Eras Tour performances in Sydney in February 2024.
NeNe Leakes
Real Housewives of Atlanta alum and television personality NeNe Leakes turns 57 on December 13, 2024. Although she left the reality series in 2020 and previously had a legal battle with Bravo, Leakes also built her fame through other series appearances, including as Roz Washington in FOX’s hit series, Glee.
