A U-Haul driver allegedly plowed into a massive crowd of protesters at an anti-Iran regime rally in Los Angeles on Sunday — injuring at least two people in a chaotic scene caught on video.
Authorities responded to the scene after the U-Haul truck drove into the sea of people at the large demonstration in Westwood around 3:30 p.m., according to KABC.
The rental truck, which had the words “NO SHAH. NO REGIME. USA: DON’T REPEAT 1953. NO MULLAH” emblazoned on its sides, was swarmed by protesters as tensions quickly escalated, according to harrowing footage obtained by the outlet.
At least two people were injured and have declined medical treatment, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Law enforcement at the scene was spotted pulling a man out of the truck and appeared to take him into custody, as angered protesters reportedly tried to punch and hit him with flag poles, the outlet reported.
