Michael Chandler and Conor McGregor were set to face off against one another on June 29 as the main event for UFC 303, but that fight has sadly been canceled. McGregor was revealed to have suffered an injury, leaving the UFC to replace the fight with a light heavyweight title fight between Alex Peirera and Jiří Procházka.

This cancelation begs the question, of what is to be done about Chandler, who has waited two years for the return of McGregor. Chandler is 1-3 in his last four matches, but he is still one of the most exciting fighters on the UFC roster. He also happens to be in the same weight class as the current BMF (Baddest Mother F*****) title holder.
Max Holloway recently acquired the BMF belt by defeating Justin Gaethje in spectacular fashion with a last-second knockout at UFC 300 on April 13. Holloway has proven he can step into the octagon with anyone and put on a show, and that next person could be Chandler.
Chandler posted a message of inspiration while training when a fan indicated that he should step into the octagon against Holloway.
Chandler responded with a simple salute, which means he could approve of the potential BMF showdown. However, Chandler has continued the theme of this initial reaction by subtly indicating that he either wants the BMF title fight or that the BMF title fight could be in the works.
Bravo. Mike. Foxtrot.

Chandler then tweeted out, “Bravo. Mike. Foxtrot.”
Chandler then posted another hint, with “Blessed Man Forever.”
The initials of each word spell out BMF, and have nothing else in common.
Chandler has been active on social media since his fight with McGregor fell through, and this could be him attempting to get UFC President Dana White’s attention. Then again, Chandler might also be hinting that he and Holloway are set to fight while McGregor heals from his injury.
One could argue that Chandler does not deserve a BMF title fight. As stated above, he is 1-3, while Holloway is on a three-fight win streak. En route to securing the BMF title, Holloway defeated Arnold Allen, Chan Sung Jung, and Gaethje.
The great thing about Holloway is that he is always prepared to take anyone on. That was proven when he stepped into the octagon against Gathje and dominated in a weight class he hadn’t fought in since he began his MMA career.
Chandler vs. Holloway would certainly be an exciting matchup, but it would be up to White and UFC matchmaker Hunter Campbell to decide that. Then again, maybe that has already happened and Chandler has just been teasing fans. Time will tell if this BMF fight will happen.
