An unhinged man with a box cutter was arrested after he allegedly went berserk on subway riders in Brooklyn early Saturday, “yelling obscenities” and “flashing a light in their eyes” before punching a rider in the head, cops said.

The deranged 38-year-old harassed multiple passengers on a Coney Island bound D subway just after 1 a.m., cops said.

When the 56-year-old victim tried to calm him down, the madman slugged the do-gooder in the back of the head multiple times, cops said.

The beating left the victim with a bloody wound, police said. He was taken to Maimonides Medical Center in stable condition.

Sapon Garcia Santos Israel was arrested and charged with assault, criminal possession of a weapon, menacing, disorderly conduct and harassment, according to police.

The Bensonhurst man has no prior arrests, police sources said.
