A woman asked her fiancé to help prep vegetables for dinner—only to find he had turned the task into an adorable romantic gesture.

In a viral TikTok video, the woman showed off perfectly chopped veggies, each one cut into the shape of a heart. But the most impressive detail? An avocado, with the heart shape carefully carved out of the skin. Since the video was posted, it has received six million views and 1.6 million likes.

“I asked my fiancé to cut the ingredients for dinner and this is what I came back to,” the creator captioned the video. “I don’t want jewelry; I want a lime carefully cut into the shape of a heart.”

The spread of vegetables was impressive—herbs, bell pepper and garlic were just some of the ingredients chopped carefully and piled into a heart shape.

The video melted hearts, with commenters swooning over her fiancé’s thoughtfulness: “How do you explain this is how you want to be loved?” one person asked.

“Please take a picture of this and hang it in your kitchen,” one person wrote. “I’m crying.”

“What is this love language called?” another commented, to which someone replied, “acts of service”.

Some shared their own experiences, including one commenter whose husband took a very different approach to food-based communication.

“My husband made my breakfast in the shape of a frowny face the other day, because he was mad at me. But I love this for you,” they wrote.

For those who follow the creator, the fiancé’s sweet gesture is no surprise. She frequently posts about their relationship, sharing moments that highlight his romantic and creative side.

In a previous video, she revealed that he went away for a week but made sure to leave love notes hidden all over their home, each one reading, “I love you. I miss you.”

He’s also proven to be talented with his hands in more ways than just chopping. In one clip, the woman revealed that her fiancé sews and creates stunning upcycled and repurposed clothing.

Lately, she’s been sharing glimpses into her life as a bride-to-be, including wedding dress shopping and planning for their big day. And while there’s still plenty to prepare for, one thing seems clear—she’s marrying a man who knows how to turn even the smallest tasks into grand gestures of love.
