Cambridge, MA – Apollon, a startup developing non-invasive continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) devices, has been named a CES 2025 Innovation Awards Honoree in the Digital Health category for its groundbreaking wearable, MOGLU™. Among 47 winners in the Digital Health sector, MOGLU stands alongside Abbott’s Lingo and Dexcom’s Stellio, marking a significant achievement in the CGM field.

MOGLU™: A Game-Changer in Diabetes Management
MOGLU™ is a wearable device that enables continuous glucose monitoring by detecting Raman signals from glucose within the body. Developed in collaboration with MIT, Apollon has successfully miniaturized the device by leveraging specific Raman wavelength signals. Currently, clinical trials are underway at MIT Clinical Center with healthy participants, and the project has garnered interest from leading global tech players, including Samsung and LG.

CES Innovation Awards: Recognizing Exceptional Innovation
Hosted by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA)®, the CES Innovation Awards honor cutting-edge products with exceptional design and technology. In recent years, the Digital Health category has become increasingly competitive, with honorees decreasing from 86 in 2023 to just 47 in 2025. Despite the global interest in CGMs, only three companies—Abbott, Dexcom, and Apollon—received this honor for CGM-related innovations.

A Message from Apollon CEO Aram Hong
“Receiving the CES Innovation Award on World Diabetes Day, alongside Abbott and Dexcom, is incredibly meaningful,” said Aram Hong, CEO of Apollon, currently leading the team from Cambridge, MA. “We are committed to reducing the physical and financial burden of diabetes with a truly non-invasive CGM. By next year, we plan to begin clinical trials with patients at Harvard Medical School’s Joslin Diabetes Center, following the successful miniaturization of the device to a size smaller than a smartphone.”
