Apple TV confirmed “Your Friends & Neighbors” will be returning for a third season.
The streamer has some serious confidence in its hit drama. After premiering April 1, 2025, it’s releasing three seasons of the show in as many years, bucking a growing trend of series taking multiple years to produce.
“Since its worldwide debut,” wrote Apple TV on its press site. “Your Friends & Neighbors” has become one of the top dramas on Apple TV, receiving wide acclaim from both critics and fans alike, and achieving a Certified Fresh critics rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The series has been hailed as “an addictive binge-watch” anchored by an “endlessly watchable avatar in star Jon Hamm.”
In “Your Friends & Neighbors,” Jon Hamm stars as a hedge fund manager who turns to a life of crime after being fired. His target? Affluent homes in Westmont Village. However, invading people’s homes to steal from leads to him uncovering many dangerous secrets.
Season 2 continues Cooper’s illegal double life, which runs into trouble with the arrival of a new neighbor played by James Marsden. Marsden’s character Owen Ashe, who also becomes a new love interest for Olivia Munn’s Samantha, risks exposing everything.
Apple TV has not yet confirmed a release date for “Your Friends & Neighbors” Season 3, but it’s likely to come out in 2027. Yearly releases could become a growing trend as streamers seek to minimize costs. Where Apple TV has this, Prime Video has “Fallout,” and HBO has “The Pitt” and “American Blue.”
If so, this suggests Apple TV’s experiments with event TV like “Severance” could become a thing of the past. Season 2 of that series took three years to release, and reportedly cost around $200 million. If “Your Friends & Neighbors” is any indication, smaller, cheaper, annual series might soon become the norm.

Apple TV has not confirmed a release date for “Your Friends and Neighbors” Season 3. Season 1 of the show premiered April 11, 2025. Season 2 premiered April 3, 2026.
