A man has been arrested after a woman’s body was discovered in bushland in Sydney’s west.
Strike Force Dowerin detectives arrested the 47-year-old at a Hobartville home around 6pm on Monday, just over 24 hours after the body of the woman also aged 47 was found in bushland in Werrington.

The man was taken to Windsor police station, where inquiries were ongoing, police said. He has not been charged.
A passer-by found the woman’s body on Sunday afternoon, alerting authorities around 1.15pm. Police said the body had been there for several days before it was discovered.
Earlier on Monday, forensics officers combed the garage of a unit block on Parkes Avenue, less than 500 metres from where the woman’s body was found. Officers were seen processing evidence outside the lock-up carport at the back of the block.
The search came after another crime scene was established overnight in a ground floor unit at the block, where a neighbour, who wanted to be known only as Jennifer, said three people had been living.
She told reporters three or four more lived on and off in the garage, which housed a bed, microwave and other furnishings.
“Mostly, I think it’s just one couple that was in the garage all the time, but it was like a whole horde of people there,” Jennifer said.
