A male cyclist has died after he was involved in a collision with a train near Runcorn Station, in Brisbane’s south, before dawn on Monday.
Emergency services received reports of collision at 4.33am at the corner of Nathan Road and Penarth Street, near a level crossing close to Runcorn Station.
Police found the rider shortly after arriving, and paramedics assessed the man for significant injuries, but he died at the scene.
Queensland Police’s forensic crash unit is investigating the fatal collision.
