Broncos star Ezra Mam has been fined $850 and banned from driving for at least six months after pleading guilty to drug driving in a Brisbane court.
Mam, 21, sat still throughout Monday morning’s proceedings in a packed Brisbane courtroom and did not speak other than to make his plea of guilty to two charges.
His mother was also in the courtroom.

Mam was charged with one count each of driving while a relevant drug was present in blood, and driving a motor vehicle without a licence, after the Ford Ranger he was driving collided with an Uber in Bardon, in Brisbane’s west, on October 18.
The Uber driver and his two passengers, a woman and her four-year-old daughter, were taken to hospital.
Mam returned a positive result to a roadside drug test and was detained for a further blood test. The secondary test also returned a positive result.
Mam signed a five-year deal with the Broncos worth about $4 million in February. His contract ties him to the Broncos until the end of 2029.
Earlier on Monday, Broncos coach Michael Maguire told Nine, owner of this masthead, that Mam had “learnt a lot from this moment”.
“I’ve obviously had a number of conversations with him,” Maguire said of Mam.
