A car has ploughed halfway up the side of a Brisbane bus in the city’s south.

The driver of the Toyota Yaris, a woman in her 40s, reported chest pain but did not suffer any major injuries.

Police and paramedics were called to the intersection of Beaudesert Road and Granard Road in Rocklea just after 6.30pm on Wednesday.

No passengers were on the bus, which was not on a route at the time.

The driver of the car was taken to the Princess Alexandria, where she was treated for shock.

The bus driver was not injured.
