Chick-fil-A is dishing up “newstalgia” with a limited fall lineup, and bringing back a sweet-and-savory classic. The move celebrates the chicken joint’s 80 years of perfecting the chicken sandwich — and adding some other classics along the way.
“In this year of Newstalgia-inspired celebrations, we wanted to bring something unique this fall by reimagining the comforting flavors our Guests crave this time of year, delivering a taste that feels both familiar and new to appeal to all ages,” Allison Duncan, director of menu and packaging for Chick-fil-A, said.
Starting August 24, fast foodies can grab the new Chicken & Waffles Sandwiches, now served up at all hours of the day. The maple-flavored waffles feature sizzling bacon strips, a tasty honey butter spread and a warm side of syrup to drizzle on top for sweet and savory lovers.
Diners can customize their chicken craving by grabbing either the original, spicy or grilled. The breakfast sandwich — which was tested back in 2025 — comes in two sizes depending on when you order.
During standard breakfast hours from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., guests will get a smaller-sized chicken filet and waffle. The entrée option for lunch and dinner has a larger chicken filet and waffle and is available from 10:30 a.m. to close.
Customers can wash it all down with two sweet S’mores options — the chicken chain’s S’mores Milkshake or S’mores Frosted Coffee. Both available all day, the nostalgic flavors of toasted marshmallows and graham crackers will get you ready for fall.
The milkshake is a mix of Chick-fil-A’s signature “Icedream” dessert, with hand-spun with chocolate shortbread and graham cracker crumbles, marshmallow-flavored syrup and marshmallow-flavored whipped topping.
Its coffee features the same tasty campfire-inspired flavors but with the classic cold-brew for a morning or midday pick-me-up.
Fans are going wild over the new additions as one X user posted, “Chicken and waffles all day?! Chick-fil-A is about to break the internet (and my diet) with this fall lineup.”
Another wrote, “The Chick-fil-A chicken and waffles sandwich is coming back. I’m so happy I could cry!!!”
The colossal chicken company isn’t the only fast food chain cooking up old-school favorites. McDonald’s recently announced it will bring back fan-favorite fiery chicken nuggets, but with a kick.
After a five years hiatus, the Spicy Chicken McNuggets and the Mighty Hot Sauce will be added back to menus. While the spicy nuggets were last seen on menus back in 2024, the sauce hasn’t been dunked since 2021.
It’s packed with a powerful blend of crushed red pepper and cayenne peppers, with savory garlic and a hint of sweetness and is said to be the hottest available dipping sauce since 2017.
The brand is also stepping up its sweets with the Caramel Apple Pie latte or frappe which comes with a new caramel apple syrup, salted caramel whipped cream and apple pie pieces on top. McDonald’s is also dropping some new dirty soda flavors, the craze where a soft drink base gets mixed with flavored syrups, cream or creamer.
