Costco has issued a series of product recall notices to members in April, covering items ranging from home furnishings and cookware to bakery goods.

The recalls, posted on the company’s website and distributed through member letters, cite safety risks including potential injury hazards and undeclared allergens.

Canopy Bed Recall Over Injury Risk

One of the most significant recalls involves Bellevue and Oaklynn canopy beds, which were sold between October 1, 2024 and February 20, 2026, under the following item numbers:

  • M24109240 (1812503)
  • M24109230 (1812501)
  • M24107240 (1812427)
  • M24107230 (1812424)

According to Costco, the beds were recalled after reports that parts of the canopy structure could collapse when moved, posing a potential risk of injury.

In a member letter, Costco advised customers to stop using the beds immediately and contact the retailer—Samson International (which is also working with the U.S Consumer Product Safety Commission to recall the affected items)—to arrange a refund or replacement.

GraniteStone Sauté Pans Recalled for Burn Hazard

Costco also alerted members to a recall of Granitestone Diamond Pro Blue stainless steel sauté pans, sold as part of a two‑piece cookware set between August 1, 2021 and March 27, 2026.

Only the Granitestone Diamond Pro Blue Stainless Sauté Pans sold in a 2-Piece Set (10-inch and 11.5-inch
pans) with UPC number 0-80313-08131-6 are affected.

The recall was issued after the metal cap attaching the handle to the pan was found to detach and eject during heating, creating a potential burn hazard.

According to the recall announcement made by the CPSC, the firm (E Mishan) has reported nearly 100 incidents, including at least one injury. Roughly 740,000 pan sets sold at Costco and other retailers are affected.

Costco instructed members to stop using the pans immediately and return them for a full refund.

Bakery Recall: Traditional Madeleines

On the food side, Costco issued a recall for Traditional Madeleines sold between late March and early April at select store locations in California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Montana, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin and Puerto Rico, after discovering that some packets contained undeclared hazelnuts, posing a serious risk to people with tree‑nut allergies.

Costco said the product may have been mislabeled and urged customers with nut allergies to avoid consumption. Members were told they could return the item for a full refund, even if the product had already been opened.

What These Recalls Mean for Costco Customers

For customers, the recalls serve as a reminder to check recent purchases carefully and to look out for product recalls, especially for products used daily in the home or consumed by individuals with food allergies.

Costco’s Response

In each recall notice, Costco has emphasized customer safety and convenience. The company has apologized for any inconvenience caused and reiterated its commitment to standing behind the products it sells.

Costco’s member letters consistently state that refunds will be provided—sometimes regardless of whether a receipt is available—reflecting its longstanding satisfaction‑guarantee policy.

As April continues, Costco has said it will provide updates if additional recall information becomes available and encourages members to remain vigilant about safety notices related to purchased products.
